Job Description


The Strategic Business Analyst identifies business needs and solutions within the context of the overall direction of the company. Responsible to develop and implement critical business solutions, secure and allocate resources, manage implementation schedules, and facilitate meetings. Position will utilize research methodologies, technical abilities and cross-functional understanding to successfully perform in this position. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and is able to work independently under minimal supervision receiving guidance on unusually complex problems or issues.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.


  1. Responsible to develop and implement critical business solutions through information gathering, synthesis, review, and testing.
  2. Secure and allocate resources, manage implementation schedules, and facilitate high level meetings.
  3. Practice various research methodologies, balance the information gathering, and human resources aspects of strategic business analysis.
  4. Successfully interact with a variety of project stakeholders who may have competing interests by utilizing motivational and communication skills.
  5. Position will be required to be well rounded from a technical standpoint and cross functionally to understand the full scope of all functions within a manufacturing company.
  6. Utilize research methodologies, technical abilities, and cross functional understanding to successfully perform in this position.
  7. During analysis, if problems are detected, position is responsible for utilizing his/her comprehensive knowledge to quickly investigate, determine and resolve the issues. In order to fully analyze some issues, this position will have to facilitate the problem solving process in a team environment.  
  8. Position must successfully use a high level of interpersonal communication skills by working at all levels, with functional leaders, and cross-regionally with US, Mexico and Japan as needed.
  9. Position must continuously work under and meet tight deadlines.  
  10. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements


The incumbent must:


  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline and generally eight plus years of experience in related field.


  • Professional Certification (CPA,CMA) or Master’s Degree a plus


  • 5+ years minimum experience or 4 with advanced degree is generally required for this position


  • Have expert level of interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and must pay attention to detail.


  • Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs. Strong verbal communication skills that provide the ability to describe a story-board with small groups (1 on 1) or larger groups (20+).  


  • Highly effective analytical skills (ability to recognize and resolve issues)


  • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

Advanced experience working with various business systems and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint or other presentation software.  Commercial Acumen, Big Picture & Critical/Lateral Thinking, Story Telling, Planning & Organizing and Execution Skills.
